A team of young women from our Global STEM Challenges Program were selected as a state winner in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Competition. The have won $6,500 worth of Samsung technology for our GSCP and have a chance to continue on to the national competition.

They will be working on an engineering solution to address the problems of food access and food waste. In order to advance to the national competition, the student team will be making a 3-minute documentary about their process and design. The team will then need to promote their idea on social media to try and place as one of the top teams. If they are ranked high enough, they will present their technology to a “Shark Tank” style panel for the national contest in DC.
