Purple Star Award Winner
We were notified this week that Thomas A. Edison High School has been selected by the Military Student Support Process Action Team (MSSPAT) reviewer for the 2022-2023 Purple Star Designation Award.
We will be receiving a Certificate of Recognition and an award coin; we also have the right to use the purple star logo on our website and in any communication that we deem appropriate.
We received positive comments about the whole package that was submitted (thank you, David Schlemmer and Sarah Mahan!) In particular, we appreciate the following statement from the review team:
The reviewer wishes to affirm the entirety of the application submitted. The artifacts presented enabled the reviewer to obtain a strong sense of the hard work occurring at the school. The efforts of the peer transition program described was solid. Simply put, the success of transitional support to our military connected students would be nowhere without the efforts of students like these. Wishing them much success!
