Global Classroom

Making Global Connections in the Classroom

The Global Classroom is an innovative educational program that engages students in an exploration of current world issues through interactive simulations. It promotes global awareness by connecting FCPS students with students in other countries, enabling them to explore issues impacting the world, and having teachers embed real-world learning opportunities and Portrait of a Graduate attributes throughout the curriculum. Global Classrooms cultivates literacy, life skills, and the attitudes necessary for active citizenship.

In our Global Classroom, students will be researching renewable energy sources with a focus on sustainability. In addition to learning science content, students will be working on developing their skills to becoming Creative and Critical Thinkers as part of Portrait of a Graduate.
