Global STEM Challenge Program
In 2015, FCPS received a $50,000 High School Innovation Planning Grant from the VDOE to start the GSCP. Grants were offered to schools that proposed bold, innovative programs aimed at building the 21st Century Workforce. GSCP is a three-year interdisciplinary program in which students engage in problem-based challenges connected to the real world, and are designed to teach concepts in math, science, and engineering. Students enrolled in the program are part of a cohort that operates as a smaller learning community within Edison High School.
