SATs on September 23

 

Seniors who have registered for the SATs  on September 23, please make sure you are checking your fcpsschools.net email address as we will be sending specific information to you about your testing entrance, times, and testing room in the coming days. The deadline to register was August 31, we are unable to take any walk-ins the day of testing. 

 

You will be assigned to a testing location and entrance by your last name.  We will provide parking and drop-off/pick-up information via email to you directly.

 

Students will be assigned entrance times starting at 7:45, we do ask that you do not line up to enter until it is your assigned entrance time.

 

What to Bring on Test Day

 

On test day, please note that Edison High School is unable to provide testing materials for our students.

 

Required Materials

• Student picture ID
• Mask

Per FCPS Health guidelines, masks are always required to be worn for the duration of testing

Student must provide their own mask.  Masks will be inspected prior to testing.

• 2 or 3 #2 pencils with working erasers
• Emergency contact information

 

Permitted Materials

• Personal hand sanitizers and/or wipes

These materials may be taken into the exam room but must remain underneath the desk while the exam is underway.

• Approved calculator

Edison High School will not provide calculators on the day of testing.  A list of approved calculators will be sent with the next SAT information email.

• Food/water

Water bottles and food may be taken into the exam room but must remain underneath the desk while the exam is underway and may be accessed only during breaks unless a specific accommodation allows otherwise.  

 

Prohibited Materials

• Any type of electronic “smart” device such as cell phones, computers, electronic tablets, smart watches, or FitBits.

These devices should not be brought into the testing site.  If the device is unknowingly brought into testing, it is mandatory for it to be checked in with room proctor for the duration of testing.  Students found with a device on their person during testing will cause a testing irregularity.  Please don’t bring them.
